الوصف: This article was carried out within the framework of the PhD program in Territorial Management and Development of the Francisco Luis Espinoza Pineda National University (UNFLEP), Estelí, Nicaragua with the objective of socio-organizationally characterizing the Community Creole Seed Banks of basic grains promoted by three social organizations present in the department of Matagalpa: Denis Ernesto González Foundations (FUDEGL), Organization for Economic and Social Development for Urban and Rural Areas (ODESAR) and the UNAG Campesino to Campesino Program (PCAC/UNAG), The study method was observational, descriptive with a mixed approach, cross-sectional, we worked with non-probabilistic sampling, obtaining a sample of 64 participants from the boards of directors and probabilistic sampling according to the Method of Mounch Galindo 1996) obtaining a sample of 384 partners- ace. The interview method, focus groups and survey were used. Among the results: Community banks fulfill the function of rescuing and promoting native seeds with a focus on food security and climate resilience; its social, economic, environmental and political importance is verified. Within the organizational structures, the male sex prevails, 30.92 have approved first and secondary school, 52.87 have not completed studies and 16.21 are illiterate, ages 41 and over, low participation of young people, land tenure in the hands of the male sex, lack of With experience in the seed trade, 96% of the members keep bean seeds on their farms, followed by corn, however, the majority do not keep sorghum seeds except rice. Among the highlighted weaknesses is the lack of economic resources and infrastructure for the maintenance and storage of quality seeds.
