This article aims to analyze various research on the production of queen bees (Apismellifera), with a focus on the comparison of the Miller, Alley and Doolittle methods.Itseeks to determine which of these methods is the most viable andreliable, standing outfor its simplicity, accessibility and adaptability to various climatic conditions, especiallythose of the canton of Quinindé. The goal is to provide beekeepers, especially on a smallscale, with an economical and effective alternative to obtain high-quality queens withoutresorting to expensive equipment. The challenge in implementing efficient techniques forqueen bee production lies in ensuring the health of the hives and agriculturalsustainability. Although all methods have proven to be effective, the Miller method isidentified as the mostsuitable for the apiaries in Quinindé due to its compatibility withlocal climatic conditions. This method, ideal for small-scale productions, allows therearing of a moderate number of queens through a manual and natural process, prioritizingmanagement techniques without requiring specialized equipment. As an alternative, theAlley method is considered, which allows for greater queen production by manipulatingwax strips with larvae. Although this method issuitable for moderate productions and cangenerate high-quality queens, theresults depend largely on the skill of the beekeeper. ; Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar diversas investigaciones sobre la producción de abejas reinas (Apis mellifera), con un enfoque en la comparación de los métodos Miller, Alley y Doolittle. Se busca determinar cuál de estos métodos es el más viable y confiable, destacándose por su simplicidad, accesibilidad y adaptabilidad a diversas condiciones climáticas, especialmente las del cantón de Quinindé.
