Anxiety is one of many psychological factors that sometimes can be felt by patient before surgery. Preoperative information counseling can affect patient's knowledge, so it is also influencing their anxiety. Christian religion music is a therapy which is connected with someone's spiritual and affecting the nerves in the brain that creates relaxed state, so impact to perceived anxiety. This study aims to find out the differences effectiveness of counseling and Christian religion music of anxiety's level in preoperative patients at Irina A Room BLU RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. This research method was Quasi Experimental, with static group comparism design, total sample are 45 respondences taken by using purposive sampling. It done on 12th June until 5th July 2013. The research showed that p 0.630 or α > 0,05 by using T-test Independent statistic test, which is there is no differences effectiveness between counseling and Christian religion music of anxiety's level in preoperative patients. This research recommending that in order to reduce anxiety in preoperative patients, nurses can give counseling and Christian religion music. |
