الوصف: In this article we studied the cooling properties of a magnetocaloric material - Gadolinium. Magnetocaloric material is a rare earth-element which is found mainly on the territories of China and Russia known under the name of Gadolinium. With the help of a coil it was connected to a source of power and it was subjected to a magnetic field. On reaching the constant temperature of 22.4 degrees Celsius it was disconnected from the magnetic field by periodically measuring the temperature of the magnetocaloric material. Having the dimension of 10x10x10 mm it was incorporated in the magnetic circuit for 60 minutes at an ambient temperature of 18.5 degrees Celsius. The measurements were made on both the magnetic core and the Gadolinium using probe-type sensors for temperature measurement.nbsp
