Pressure injuries (PPL) affect inpatients or in home care, bedridden and with restricted movement. The appearance of a pressure injury is the result of two critical physiological determinants: intensity and duration of pressure on certain body structures, in addition to the underlying disease and nutritional status. It is one of the most common consequences of long-term hospitalizations, and also a negative indicator of quality, being one of the main adverse events observed. In addition to the discomfort for patients, LPPs generate increased financial expenses, as they prolong the period of hospital stay, as well as costs with specific inputs, such as dressings, coverings, solutions and even surgeries. In this way, the best care is prophylaxis, avoiding physical, mental, emotional disorders and even more serious issues. Always taking care in the bath, changing bedding, always analyzing and inspecting the body of the bedridden or weakened person, remembering that if you see any abnormality, immediate treatment is necessary to prevent the wound from opening quickly, making it difficult to close and heal. ; A lesão por pressão (LPP) acomete pacientes internados ou em cuidados domiciliares, acamados e com restrição de movimentos.
