| الوصف: | In today’s transforming society, the processes of digitalization have become interconnected with the problem of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of the spread of the infection transmitted mainly through direct human interaction, there is an increased need to change the nature of such interaction to digital one. Historically the process of digitalization has been unexpectedly accelerated and this has led to a number of issues.Among them there are the following problems: technical difficulties; a lack of digital competence of some employees and digital literacy of certain social groups and individuals (especially those belonging to the circle of socially vulnerable segments of the population); restrictions on direct interpersonal communication; an oversaturation of interaction with the flow of digital information; an emotional fatigue from being forced to work and study only remotely; issues of cybersecurity of online interaction; a significant tightening of digital control over the life of citizens; risks of social and psychological tension and distrust of digitalization, technophobias, inability to rationally use the achievements of scientific and technological progress in order to increase personal and social well-being.Relying on the methodology of R. Merton, it is possible to typologize digital transformations in social interaction into functional and dysfunctional, explicit and latent. Considering the fact that there are no insurmountable boundaries between one or another option, circumstances are changeable, it is evident that people’s interaction is to a certain extent ambiguous and it can be evaluated from different perspectives. The pandemic has also generated the following changes in social interaction: the spread of digital consumption; the growth of the digital divide (digital gap) between social groups that have adapted and have not adjusted to forced digitalization; the formation of a new basis for social stratification, increasing social inequality, digital marginalization of some social groups ... |
