A 51-year-old man, haevy cigarette smoker, a homeless alcoholic, with disseminated lesions in lungs and with ulceration and infiltration of the tongue is presented. Treatment with antibiotics was ineffective. He was admitted to the otolaryngological department because of suspicion of the tongue cancer. The histological examination of the tongue biopsy revealed tuberculous granuloma. In the pneumonlogical department, on admission the patient was cachectic, with massive oedema and ulceration of the tongue, and enlargement of the cervical lymph nodes. He was fed through the gastric tube. He had severe pain of the tongue demanding treatment with opiatics analgetics. Chest x-ray revealed disseminated lesions in lungs. Antituberculous therapy was administered because of suspicion of tuberculosis of the tongue and lungs. Durning the treatment clinical improvment was observed. Tubercule bacilli were grown in the sputum culture after 6 weeks of observation. After 8 weeks of antituberculous therapy regression of lung lesions and healing of the tongue were observed. The patient continued treatment for 6 months in the Lung Disease Outpatient Clinic. |

Jednocześnie Autor (Autorzy) zgadza (zgadzają) się, że nie złoży (złożą) manuskryptu do publikacji gdziekolwiek i w jakimkolwiek języku bez wcześniejszej pisemnej zgody nabywcy praw autorskich, jakim jest PTChP. Nagrodą za przesłanie artykułu jest publikacja w czasopiśmie Wydawcy. Niezależnie od wymienionych wcześniej skutków Autor (Autorzy), w celu zwolnienia się z odpowiedzialności wobec osób trzecich, powinien (powinni) dołączyć do przesyłanego manuskryptu list przewodni, zawierający oświadczenie Autora (Autorów) potwierdzające powyższe fakty oraz że wszyscy wymienieni współautorzy wyrażają zgodę na jej publikację. Ponadto Autor (Autorzy) potwierdza (potwierdzają), że zapoznał (zapoznali) się z regulaminem nadsyłania prac w czasopiśmie „Pneumonologia i Alergologia Polska” i zobowiązuje się do jego przestrzegania. Materiały ilustracyjne poprzednio publikowane należy zaopatrzyć w pisemną zgodę Wydawcy na ponowną publikację. Stosunki prawne łączące Wydawcę i Autora podlegają prawu polskiemu i obowiązującym Polskę konwencjom międzynarodowym. Podstawą prawną nabycia praw autorskich jest art. 921 § 3 zdanie 3 kodeksu cywilnego w związku z art. 50 ustawy o prawie autorskim i prawach pokrewnych oraz odpowiednich konwencji międzynarodowych. ; By sending the manuscript with figures and charts the author (authors) declares (declare) it has been neither published nor submitted to the Editorial Board of any other journal (not including the abstracts 400 words or less). Moreover, it is assumed that the copyright for publishing and distribution of the submitted material (in all known now and developed in the future forms and fields of exploitation) are automatically and free-of-charge transferred to the PTChP, under condition that those materials are accepted for publication. The authors accept the fact, that the work will not be published anywhere and in any language without the prior written consent of the owner of the copyrights, i.e. the PTChP. Independently to the formerly mentioned effects, author (authors) due to release form the responsibilities to the third parties, shall (should) attach the cover letter to the manuscript. The cover letter shall contain declaration of the author (authors) confirming formerly described facts and that all co-authors of the manuscript agree for the publication. Moreover the author (authors) confirm that they have acquaint themselves with the editorial policy in “ARM"” and they oblige to respect the policy. The reward for sending the manuscript is publication in the journal. Legal relations between the Publisher and the author(s) are in accordance with Polish law and with international conventions binding to Poland. The legal bases to acquiring the copyright are article 921 section 3 sentence 3 of the civil code in connection with article 50 of the copyright law and related law as well as the international conventions binding to Poland. |
