| الوصف: | The article presents the most important dates from the history of the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute for the first 10 years of its activity in chronological order. Purpose of study is to describe and determine the process of forming the stereotype of the most important moments of the first 10 years of activity of the school. The relevance of the study is dictated by the need to create a positive historical stereotype about Bukovinian State Medical University. The method of work is based on the analysis of historiographical publications and archival materials. Conclusions. For the first 10 years of its existence, the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute (ChDMI) team has gone the hard way from the post-war ruins and famine to the proper working and rest state in present times. The material and technical base was strengthened, the methods of teaching special disciplines were improved, the graduates of high school gained good fame with their alma mater. The staff of the ChDMI managed to occupy one of the leading places in the process of combating epidemics and mass spread of sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis, endemic goiter, typhoid, dysentery, scarlet fever, acute outbreaks of polio. Staff of ChDMI courageously acted to eliminate the outbreak; demonstrated proficiency in carrying out complex clinical and laboratory and epidemiological studies, wisdom in scientific research of the whole complex of diseases spread in Bukovina, and methods of their treatment, ingenuity in improving medical technology. Scientists who have won All-Union fame and recognition have worked at the ChDMI. The Institute during this period became the main center of professional development of medical workers of Chernivtsi region.
