Sugarcane is one of the major commercial crops of India. Sugarcane is widely cultivated by formers for its high profit margins. Sugarcane has many by-products. India is the second largest producer of the product sugarcane after Brazil. Sugarcane requires a lot of water for its cultivation and is very vulnerable to diseases such as fungal infections. In India, sugarcane is mainly cultivated in Uttar Pradesh. Sugarcane diseases are the main cause of losses in sugarcane production. If sugarcane is not properly cared for, it can cause serious damage to sugarcane plant, which in turn affects sugarcane product quality and quantity. By using some automatic technique, it is beneficial to reduce the amount of monitoring work in large forms of crop. In this paper, we are going to introduce an automated irrigation system. This system is based on a raspberry pi which is embedded in Linux board. In this system, there is a network of soil humidity, moisture and temperature sensors. When soil moisture reaches a certain valley, a message is sent to the owner, and an automatic water motor is turned on. If temperature and humidity reaches the specified valley, the owner can turn on or OFF the pesticide motor on their smart phone or on web page. |
