الوصف: Thesis (M.A., Speech Pathology and Audiology)--California State University, Sacramento, 1957. ; It was the purpose of this study to determine if a difference exists between the attitudes of classroom teachers and public school speech correctionists toward stuttering. In addition to this question, the following questions were proposed: (1) Do the attitudes of speech correctionists who have had a course more than one-half of which was devoted specifically to stuttering differ from the attitudes of speech correctionists who have not had such a course? (2) Do the attitudes of classroom teachers who have had a college survey course in speech correction differ from the attitudes of classroom teachers who have not had such a course? (3) Do differences in attitude toward stuttering exist among classroom teachers with one, two, three to five, six to ten, 11 to 20, and over 20 years of teaching experience? (4) Do differences in attitude toward stuttering exist among speech correctionists with one, two, three to four, and five or more years of speech correction experience? (5) Do the attitudes toward stuttering of speech correctionists with previous classroom teaching experience differ from the attitudes of speech correctionists without such experience? (6) Do differences in attitude toward stuttering exist among classroom teachers aged 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 or over? (7) Do differences in attitude toward stuttering exist among speech correctionists aged 20 to 29, 30 to 39, and 40 or over? (8) Do differences in attitude toward stuttering exist among classroom teachers of various grade levels? (9) Do the attitudes of male classroom teachers differ from the attitudes of female classroom teachers? ; Speech Pathology and Audiology
