| الوصف: | In the 19th century, Théophile Gautier and Edmondo De Amicis were in vogue when they each wrote a text on the city of Constantinople. The two books, similar in their overall structure, aim to describe the city faithfully in its most exotic and unusual aspects. However, both writers face obstacles in the practice and knowledge of urban space. To overcome these obstacles, they use intertextuality, pictorial mediation and the use of the marvellous to better grasp and represent Constantinople. ; Au xixe siècle, Théophile Gautier et Edmondo De Amicis sont dans l’air du temps lorsqu’ils écrivent chacun un texte sur la ville de Constantinople. Les deux livres, semblables sur le plan de leur structure globale, ambitionnent de décrire fidèlement la ville dans ce qu’elle a de plus exotique et dépaysant. Mais les deux écrivains font face à des obstacles quant à la pratique et la connaissance de l’espace urbain et, pour pallier cela, ils ont recours à l’intertextualité, à la médiation picturale et à l’emploi du merveilleux afin de mieux saisir et représenter Constantinople. |
