Introduction: One of the greatest difficulties within the field of contemporary family studies is circumscribed in the perspective of characterization of the understanding of arrangements made by homosexual couples, and when this debate is intertwined with the desire and / or effectiveness of adoption in search of socio-affective ties and family completeness, the discussion becomes even more dense. This prism of discussion has lacked a greater prominence in both the social and legal arenas amidst the gaps that still exist regarding the understanding and repercussions of adoptive homoparenting. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the production of knowledge in light of the theme of adoptive homoparenting, to understand it as part of the new paradigms related to the categories family and adoption. Methods: An integrative review was carried out on the assumption of the quanti-qualitative technique, on articles published in the SciELO and PePSIC databases in the period of coverage 2010-2020, through the combination of descriptors consulted in the DeCS (Parenting, Homosexuality and Adoption) and using inclusion and exclusion criteria, systematized by the PRISMA method. After reading and considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the search resulted in 7 selected materials. Results: The findings reveal that when it comes to the production of knowledge there are limitations in the advancement of the theme of adoptive homoparentality, and the nature of the discussions brought in the studies are circumscribed on two basic categories on which analytical inferences were made: (I) The arduous itinerary to achieve homoparental adoption; (II) Representations, beliefs and social roles in the field of adoptive homoparentality. Conclusion: It is concluded that regarding the actors of adoptive homoparentality, it can be seen that there is an association of their gender identity and sexual orientation in questioning the intent of adoption, where severely these conditions influence the progress of the process ... |
