On the basis of the analysis of a series of facts in the article there isasserted that the image of Dede Gorgud is a shaman image. Despite that the substance of the image of Dede Gorgud remains to be debatable, the artist described his hero just as “a shaman able to improvise”. I.Mammadov’s series of works including the portrait of Dede Gorgud is a peculiar monument which immortalizes the objective reality of the Turkic culture, concentrates traditional values of the Turkic world in itself. |
