| الوصف: | This work will address the right to regret the purchase of a product or service within the Consumer Protection Code, as set out in Decree No. 7,962/13, which regulates this obligation of suppliers to consumers. This general rule limits that within a period of 07 (seven) days, the consumer exercises his right to repentance, which allows him to have a full refund of the amount paid and duly corrected. This law guarantees such protection for all purchases made outside the commercial establishment, that is, via the internet, allowing the consumer to have time and be able to capture sufficient information to make a decision on the convenience of contracting the product or service, as in the case of stores physical property, the right to repentance is subject to the free and spontaneous will of the retailer. Within this legislation there are some exceptions for products and services that do not fit the right of withdrawal, some examples of which will be discussed later. Given this, the objective of this article is to address the role of the right to repentance for the consumer, addressing the exceptions to purchases generally made outside the commercial establishment, ensuring that good consumer relations are maintained in a balanced manner for both parties. .
