الوصف: To determine whether a shallow waste disposal complies with a given regulatory standart, a compliance assessment must calculate the dose to some individual or a specific group of individuals (critical group) and then compare the results to the dose limit has been defined for a specific individual or group for whom protection is soupht. In the case of shallow waste disposal in Lithuania authors had recommended the farmer critical group as potential receptor. TAME mathematical model and computer code with site-specific parameter values has been used for the radiological exposure of critical group member inhabiting the 137Cs contaminated biosphere. In the case 137Cs reach the aquifer and introducing into aquifer plume well with abstraction at a rate consistent with domestic and agricultural use, the basic internal exposure would be drinking water (well), meat, milk and especially grain pathways. The contribution of dust inhalation as well as external irradiation would be negligible. Additionally the biosphere site-specific dose conversion factors for each pathway are presented.
