The second part of the article is dedicated to military conflict on the Livonian frontier in historical context of Russian-GermanLithuanian relations in the Baltic region in the middle of the 14th century. The purpose of the article is analysis of the escalation of military confrontation and systematization on its basis of different types of military medieval conflicts. Material and methods. The article is based on combination of narrative and documentary sources. Special attention is paid to masterpieces of medieval chivalric poetry (commendable songs of the Austrian poet and herald Peter Suchenwirt), which has not yet been used in national historiography as a source on the Crusades in the Baltic region. Findings and their discussion. The article covers the second stage of the Pskov-Livonian War (1345–1349). In contrast to the first phase (1341–1344), the latter developed further than solely regional conflict. The study focuses on the events of 1349, which took place near the town of Izborsk. They are reconstructed on the basis of Russian and German sources. Further analysis leads to some general conclusions about the nature of border conflicts in the Middle Ages. Conclusion. Through the analysis the escalation of the conflict from the border incidents to a major war that had engulfed the whole Baltic region was reconstructed. In addition, the systematic approach to the different types of military conflicts in the Middle Ages was proposed in a particular example. ; Во второй части статьи продолжается исследование военного конфликта на ливонском пограничье в общем контексте истории русско-немецко-литовских взаимоотношений в Балтийском регионе в середине XIV века.
