La visita pastoral llevaba aparejada una ceremonia perfectamente codificada en la que el prelado de la diócesis, o su representante, acompañado de un notario, recorrían las iglesias de su demarcación eclesiástica para comprobar cómo se desarrollaba en ellas su actividad pastoral y litúrgica y el estado en el que se encontraban sus libros y enseres parroquiales. The pastoral visit was a perfectly codified ceremony in which the diocesan prelate or his representative, accompanied by a notary, visited the churches in his ecclesiastical jurisdiction to check on their pastoral and liturgical activities and the state of their books and parish property. |
