W poniższej pracy podejmuję próbę porównania fragmentów z dwóch opowieści należących do światowej literatury epickiej, mianowicie Historii Siāwasza i Sudābe z irańskiego eposu Szāhnāme pióra Abul Qāsema Ferdowsiego oraz Wygnania Synów Uisliu, historii przygotowującej (remscéla) do Uprowadzenia Stad z Cuailnge, która jest częścią pochodzącego z Irlandii Cyklu Ulsterskiego. Opowiadania poruszają tematy relacji między władcą a poddanymi, uwodzeniu młodego mężczyzny przez kobietę króla, jak również problemów dotyczącym udowodnienia czyjejś niewinności w dawnych czasach. Z tej strony możemy znaleźć liczne paralele między tymi opowieściam oraz zobaczyć jak różnice i podobieństwa kuturowe wpływają na przedstawione historie. ; In the present thesis I attempt to compare fragments from two tales from the world’s epic literature, namely, The Story of Siāvaš and Sudābe from the Iranian epic poem Šāhnāme by Abul Qāsem Ferdowsi and The Exile of the Sons of Uisliu, a preparatory story (remscéla) for The Cattle-Ride of Cooley which is a part of the Ulster Cycle from Ireland. The tales explore topics of relations between the ruler and their subjects, seduction of a young man by the ruler’s woman, as well as problems related to proving one’s innocence in the pre-modern times. In this regard we can find multiple paralels between the tales, and observe how cultural differences and similarities influence the stories. |
