| الوصف: | In 1977 relations were established between the SED, the communist party in power in the GDR, and the PSOE, a social democratic party, which was in opposition at the time and was to govern Spain from 1982. The GDR's need to strengthen its contacts with the West and the PSOE's interest in giving Spain a foreign policy that looked towards Eastern Europe served to set up an informal diplomatic channel in inter-party relations to support understanding between the two states. ; En 1977 se entablaron relaciones entre el SED, partido comunista gobernante en la RDA, y el PSOE, socialdemócrata, que por entonces estaba en la oposición e iba a gobernar España a partir de 1982. La necesidad de la RDA de reforzar sus contactos con Occidente y el interés del PSOE de dar a España una política exterior que mirase hacia Europa del Este sirvió para habilitar en las relaciones interpartidistas un canal diplomático informal en apoyo el entendimiento entre los dos estados. |
