| الوصف: | This paper addresses the myth of Cuca, portrayed in the series Cidade Invisível (Invisible City), by Carlos Saldanha, which premiered in 2020, on Netflix streaming platform. The aim is to analyze the character from the perspective of archetypes, considering the “maternal archetype” from Carl Gustav Jung’s perspective, in addition to the archetypes of the “hero's journey”, according to Christopher Vogler. Unlike the myths about the character previously woven, the series seeks to present a new look for Cuca, with new features and elements, thus building a maternal and protective personality. In this sense, one question seems quite evident: how this new Cuca’s myth, from Jung's perspective of “maternal archetype”, seeks to corroborate with the narrative proposed in the series and reformulate a myth that is so widespread in Brazilian popular imagination. ; Este texto aborda o mito da Cuca, retratado na série Cidade invisível, de Carlos Saldanha, que estreou em 2020, na plataforma de streaming Netflix. O objetivo é analisar a personagem pela ótica dos arquétipos, considerando o “arquétipo materno” na perspectiva de Carl Gustav Jung, além dos arquétipos da “jornada do herói”, conforme Christopher Vogler. Diferentemente dos mitos sobre a personagem tecidos anteriormente, a série busca apresentar uma nova roupagem para a Cuca, com novas características e elementos, construindo, assim, uma personalidade materna e protetora. Nesse sentido, uma questão parece bastante evidente: como esse novo mito da Cuca, na ótica do “arquétipo materno” de Jung, busca corroborar a narrativa proposta na série e reformular um mito tão difundido no imaginário popular brasileiro. |
