El proceso de integración de las mujeres al sistema universitario supuso una conquista para los derechos de las mujeres, pero aun así siguen existiendo prejuicios en cuanto a su rol dentro de este sistema o estereotipos acerca de las carreras que deben estudiar. Por esta razón, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las creencias y actitudes acerca del rol de las mujeres en el sistema universitario en instituciones públicas y privadas de la ciudad de Buenos Aires y el conurbano bonaerense. Para esto se realizó un estudio empírico con 142 estudiantes de universidades públicas y privadas, laicas y religiosas, y de las carreras de psicología e ingeniería. Los resultados exponen que las personas participantes exhiben estereotipos de género rígidos y niveles moderados de sexismo. A su vez, se identificaron diferencias significativas en las actitudes hacia las mujeres en función de las características de la institución y de la carrera que estudian las personas participantes del estudio empírico. ; The process of integrating women into the university system was a victory for women's rights, but even so there are still prejudices regarding their role within this system or stereotypes about the careers they should study. For this reason, the present research aims to analyse the beliefs and attitudes about the role of women in the university system in public and private institutions in the city of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs. For this purpose, an empirical study was carried out with 142 students from public and private, secular, and religious universities, and from psychology and engineering careers. The results show that the participants exhibit rigid gender stereotypes and moderate levels of sexism.
