| الوصف: | Battlefelds are a particular type of archaeological sites; they are signifcant placesfor the communities involved in these landscapes of conflict. For his role in the history of various groups, their impact on the political future of the people; these sites have a power of evocation through various scales (local, regional and national). They are both forgetfulness and memory spaces, show scars; they are stigmas or are celebrated. On numerous occasions are clear identity references.The Battle of Suipacha was a war episode occurred on November 7, 1810 between the forces of the High Peru Expeditionary Army, sent by the First Meeting of Buenos Aires and the royalist forces Army. It was the frst victory of the rebel armies in the warsof independence. The confrontation happened about 25 km from Tupiza, in the townof Suipacha, along the San Juan del Oro river, current territory of the Nation Chichas (province of Sud Chichas, Potosí Department, Plurinational State of Bolivia).In this contest they joined forces Jujuños, Salteños , tarijeños , cinteños and chicheños. Well then, who were those who fought? What strategies and tactics of struggle were carried out? What knowledge were launched? What role did and play in the collective imagination?In this work we present a frst approach to these questions from thinking them(archaeological, historical, anthropological ) multidisciplinary approach that incorporates new narratives that allow shed light on ways of building collective historical identity. ; Los campos de batalla constituyen un tipo particular de sitio arqueológico, no sólo por su tipo de abordaje teórico-metodológico, sino también por el lugar signifcante que ocupan para las comunidades involucradas en dichos paisajes de conflicto. Por su rol en la historia de diversos colectivos, su incidencia en el devenir político de los pueblos o en la constitución de diversas entidades geopolíticas; estos sitios poseen un poder de evocación que atraviesa diversas escalas (locales, regionales y nacionales).
