| الوصف: | Potato is the world’s most important noncereal food crop and is rich in starch and vitamins. Unfortunately, current potato cultivars are vulnerable to many pathogens and pests. A wide resource of resistances is available in wild tuber-bearing Solanum germplasm. Resistance genes can be detected by disease assays or effectoromics and can then be introduced to potato cultivars by classical introgression breeding, genetic modification, or by true potato seed (TPS) in F1 hybrid breeding. |
