| الوصف: | In the context of continuously improving health services, the Hospital of the Soconusco Region undertook a study to assess the operational efficiency of its independent systems in key areas such as Emergency, Operating Room, and Outpatient Consultation, among others. This qualitative study, conducted in the past, involved the collection and analysis of data through semi-structured interviews and focus groups with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. The hospital's individual modules, including Social Work, Clinical Archive, Statistics, Warehouse, Pharmacy, and more, were examined to identify operational errors and improvement opportunities, with the goal of preparing for the integration of these into a single medical administrative information system. The analysis of the interviews revealed both the acceptance of the existing systems and the technical challenges faced by the users, highlighting the need for an integrated platform that could enhance coordination and access to medical information. The findings underscored that, although the modules operate at satisfactory levels independently, their integration could significantly enhance operational efficiency and the quality of patient care. The purpose of this study was to provide an empirical basis for the development of a comprehensive system that unifies the administrative and clinical operations of the hospital, ensuring that the technology adequately meets the needs of the medical and administrative staff.
