الوصف: The metaterritory concept is emerging in design studies, since it is collectively built as an organism that is woven from the memory, feelings, and longing of its own inhabitants, which fosters places of physical and virtual collaborative interaction for the transformation of inhabited landscapes. Collective memory explored from autonomous design and intercultural co-creation as open knowledge, is essential in the search for participatory intervention alternatives in local areas, for a discussion where memory is the protagonist from daily and collective personal memories which revitalize other ways of living mediated by digital technologies to promote transformations and shared poetic actions. This article reflects on the metaterritory proposal as a contribution from the discipline of design, for its theoretical and methodological exploration in territorial studies through other designs, practices, and alternative ways of maintaining a territory in the present that physically disappears due to the loss of the original conditions of habitability, and that can be restored from the memory rooted in the territory, because it resists oblivion. These ideas are applied through research situated in the community of a traditional neighborhood called San José in the city of Manizales, Colombia (in the process of expulsion due to urban renewal), where actions are proposed through the use of transmedia scenarios to maintain the territory alive from memory restitution processes based on autonomous design and co-creation.
