Fibromyalgia is a disease that causes pain, stiffness, and tenderness in muscles, tendons, and joints. The case of a 65-year-old woman with fibromyalgia is presented. The nursing process was elaborated using Marjory Gordon's functional patterns theory and the NANDA, NIC, and NOC taxonomies. Physical mobility impairment, insomnia, and chronic pain syndrome were prioritized. It is concluded that, due to the increase of people with fibromyalgia, the demand for care, and the unspecificity of symptoms, caring for people with fibromyalgia and their families is a challenge for nursing. ; La fibromialgia es una enfermedad que causa dolor, rigidez y sensibilidad en músculos, tendones y articulaciones. Se presenta el caso de una mujer de 65 años con fibromialgia, el proceso de enfermería se elaboró con la teoría de los patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon y las taxonomías NANDA, NIC y NOC. Se priorizó el deterioro de la movilidad física, insomnio y síndrome de dolor crónico. Se concluye que, debido al aumento de personas con fibromialgia, la demanda de atención y la inespecificidad de los síntomas, el cuidado a las personas con fibromialgia y sus familias constituye un reto para enfermería. |
