The article focuses on the issue of personality traits of juvenile delinquents detained at the Remand Center. Temperament types are considered. The notion of temperament is identified. The purpose of the article is to identify the prevalence of personality traits of juvenile delinquents. Material and methods. The research was conducted at Remand Center No1 of the City of Minsk Department of Punishment Execution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Juvenile delinquents, who are socially isolated, were tested. The number of the tested was thirty. The method of G.Isenck’s Personality Questionnaire EPI was used. Findings and their discussion. After the survey and data processing the findings are the following: 36,6% of the tested are introvert, 23,3% of them are emotionally stable and, consequently, 13,3% are emotionally unstable. The temperament type dominating in the group is the phlegmatic and melancholic. 46,6% of the tested are extravert, 19,9% of them are emotionally unstable, 13,3% are emotionally regular. Thus, the prevailing temperament type is choleric. Delinquency is an oldest social phenomenon. It’s evident that until there is society there will be both law obedient people and delinquents. It is impossible to consider juvenile delinquency separately from the society. Conclusion is made that the research indicated the most wide spread character traits of underage delinquents such as emotional misbalance, vanity, stubbornness, absence of sympathy to others’ sufferings, hostility. Conclusion. The most wide spread character traits of underage delinquents are emotional misbalance, vanity, stubbornness, absence of sympathy to others’ sufferings, hostility; they are aggressive to the society.
