| الوصف: | The growing awareness of consumers regarding food safety, animal welfare and agricultural environmental impacts, simultaneously with the increase in food costs are facts that make the use of optimization of nutrition in production systems increasingly essential. Therefore, discrepancies between the diets formulated, offered and scraps by cattle must be minimal for this to be actually applied. With this, the objective of the present study has to evaluate the chemical composition and the physical composition of the formulated, offered and scraps diets in order to analyze the mixing precision and similarity of the feedlot diets of beef cattle. The study was carried out at the Experimental Farm Capim Branco and at the Laboratório de Bromatologia e Nutrição Animal (LABAN), belonging to the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da Univerdidade Federal de Uberlândia (FAMEV / UFU). 35 animals of the Senepol breed were be used, all of which were non-neutered males born in 2018, with average age of 15 months and average body weight of 396,5 kg. The diet used was composed of 60% corn silage and 40% commercial concentrate (Taurus 22 AG®). Samples of the supplied diet and scraps were collected and analyzed for particle size, using the Penn State Particle Size Separator and for dry matter (DM), mineral matter (MM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), neutral detergent insoluble fiber (NDF), acid detergent insoluble fiber (ADF) and lignin according to methods proposed by the National Institute of Science and Technology in Animal Science (INCT-CA). The physical and chemical characteristics of the formulated, offered and scraps diet were compared using descriptive statistical tools, such as sample men and standard deviation. The results showed differences between the formulated, offered and scraps diets, both in nutritional composition and in the TMR mixing process, indicating that changes should be established during feed management. ; UFU - Universidade Federal de Uberlândia ; Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso ... |
