| الوصف: | Education and teaching is a system which needs to update itself according to the life conditions’ requirements. The foundation of today’s higher education is based on the Plato academia and the philosophy which developed there. The academia which discusses the problems of science in classes and which makes it heard by publications have separate and private programs for each department even though its main emerging point is philosophy. Even though its practice differentiates by culture, religion and geography, higher education programs have been influenced by each other in time. Thusthe people’s point of views and approaches, who created the same programs both in the same whole geography and throughout the world, are effective.The same condition is valid for the foundation and running of the philology deparment. In the foundation of philology whichever school had influence the creation of the courses and the content of the courses happened in the same line and continued the same way frequently. As a department which gives an education in philology, Turkish Language and Literature Department protects its clasiccal education shape from the perspective of its classes and the content of courses.In this paper, first a short review will be given about the higher education process which has been started with Academia, then some information will be given about the Turkish Language and Literature departments in Turkey. Afterwards, by taking the program shape of today’s Turkish Language and Literature Department courses as a base, the question how a more efficient department can be formed with the contribution of this field’s academic staff by designing what kind of a program in today’s conditions will be proposed. ; Eğitim ve öğretim yaşam koşullarının gerekliliklerine göre kendini güncelleme durumunda olan bir sistemdir.
