الوصف: | Since 1978, rural-urban migration has been a well-researched phenomenon in China, with particular attention being paid to problems relating to the wellbeing of migrant workers. However, current research tends to focus on those who travel long distances and treats the migrant population as a homogeneous group. The experiences of local migrant workers (those who travel from rural to urban areas within a specific area), how they live their lives, and how they access basic welfare has been overlooked. Through the analysis of the Jinzhou case, this argument challenges mainstream views which critiques ... |
