En 1945 Stalin, vencedor de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, estaba aún más consolidado en el poder. Derrotado el nazismo, la expansión soviética llegó hasta Europa Central. Cuatro años más tarde (1949), en China triunfaba el socialismo de la mano de Mao Zedong. Sin embargo, los últimos años del mandato de Stalin estuvieron marcados por una serie de hechos que enturbian su régimen. En este artículo trataremos de sintetizar estos años convulsos y nos centraremos en un aspecto interesante y relativamente poco trabajado: el debate referente a cuestiones de lingüística (1950). Esta polémica puede ayudar a entender, tal y como se verá, la naturaleza del estalinismo. ; In 1945 Stalin, victor of World War II, was even more consolidated in power. With Nazism defeated, Soviet expansion reached Central Europe. Four years later (1949), socialism triumphed in China under the leadership of Mao Zedong. However, the last years of Stalin's mandate were marked by a series of events that clouded his regime. In this paper we will try to synthesize these turbulent years, and we will focus on an interesting and relatively little worked aspect: the debate on linguistics issues (1950).
