الوصف: In the present study, we use a new ultrasound-based method for accurate and fast measurement of small particle-size metallic suspensions. This method allows quantitative evaluation of suspension flows with small particle diameter-to-macro scale ratios on the order of 1/1800. The technique is validated by towing the ultrasound probe at a constant speed and further tested in pulsatile post-stenotic flows. The instantaneous and phase-averaged quantities such as the velocity, turbulence kinetic energy, and the vorticity fields have been revealed using the new technique. It is found that the stenotic flows in dilute suspensions are similar to their counterpart flows in pure water, however, the vortex diffusion and stabilization effects persist.
