| الوصف: | Objective: To describe the knowledge of breastfeedithe husband’s support in breastfeeding practice at the National Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology and propose some solutions to improve the husband’s knowledge and support in breastfeeding practice. Method: Cross-sectional study, use questionnaires for 369 husbands from18 years old and older whose wives had just given birth at the Normal Obstetric Ward at the National Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology from June 11, 2020 to July 10, 2020. Results: The percentage of husband from 25 to 34 years old accounts for 68.3%. 52.3% of the husbands live in rural areas. 62.9% of the husbands know that their children need to be breastfed early within the first hour after birth. And the percentage of husbands who know the name colostrum / colostrum is 73.7%. There are 67.6% of husbands in rural areas know the benefits of colostrum breastfeeding, 30.7% of whom know that breastfeeding soon after birth helps children have more milk. There are 13.6% and 13% (respectively rural area, urban are) of the husbands who do not know any benefits of breastfeeding soon after birth. The number of the husbands who know about the beast milk stimulation, clears milk ducts is respectively 50.6% and 56%. 34.1% and 25.9% of the husbands do not know any benefits of breastfeeding soon after birth to their wives. The number of husbands who knows about beastfeeding correctly is 75.3%. The number of whom khows about the time and frequency of breastfeeding is respectively 83.5% and 97.0%. The percentage of the husband having children for the second time has the rate of knowing about the time and frequency of breastfeeding is respectively 85.1% and 97.7%.68% of them think that the time at the hospital to take care of their wives is reasonable. The most common reason for less time to care of their wives at the hospital is that they have to work which accounts for 61%.
