الوصف: | Transcription factors are proteins that activate genes in response to various biotic and abiotic factors during plant development. These transcription factors are capable of connecting DNA sequences to target gene promoters and activating or suppressing an expression of these genes interacting with RNA polymerase and other transcriptional applications. Among the environmental factors that cause physiological responses in plants, we can mention the presence of high salt levels, excessive exposure, water stress and defense against pathogen attacks. The classification of transcription factors in subfamilies is supported by the presence of the AP2 domain, which is the characteristic reason for each subclass. These domains actively participate in the application of gene expression in response to various stresses. Considering this importance, or the objective of this study, was to identify the presence of transcription factors AP2 / ERF in the plant line, from more primitive algae, or to visualize the evolution of these genes. Using a bioinformatics and its analysis tools it was possible to identify 483 sequences of transcription factors AP2 / ERF, 4 of them identified in two species of algae, 134 sequences in green algae species, 165 sequences in fish species and 180 sequences in pteridophyte species. In conclusion, whether the transcription factors of subfamily AP2 are present in even more complex primitive algal plant species. This subfamily may therefore have originated the genes belonging to other subfamilies, as it has been shown to be an older class among the analyzed classes. ; Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) ; Os fatores de transcrição são proteínas que ativam genes em resposta a diversos fatores bióticos e abióticos durante o desenvolvimento dos vegetais.
