The article analyzes the dynamics of the level of personality adaptability of disabled people with mental diseases in the conditions of a psychoneurological elderly and disabled people’s home as a result of the impact of a set of rehabilitation measures. Due to the fact that the indicator of a personality functional adaptability is their social well-being, the dynamics of the level of life satisfaction of respondents is also studied. The purpose of the article is to empirically justify the efficiency of specially organized support for the level of personality adaptability of respondents living in a psychoneurological elderly and disabled people’s home. Material and methods. The research base is the state social care establishment “Glubokoye Psychoneurological Elderly and Disabled People’s Home”. The empirical study was conducted twice with an interval of 1 year on the same sample using the same methods. The sample of subjects was 40 people, of which 19 were women and 21 were men. The psychodiagnostic methods used are the multi-level personal questionnaire “Adaptability” and the test “Index of Life Satisfaction” adaptated by N.V. Panina. For quantitative and qualitative data processing, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov criterion, the U Mann– Whitney criterion, and the Spearman rank correlation coefficient were used. During the year, the results of observation, individual interviews and psychological consultations were analyzed. Findings and their discussion. As a result of a comparative analysis of the data obtained during the study, positive changes were revealed for all the studied indicators. This makes it possible, despite the fact that personal adaptability, neuropsychic stability and, following it, life satisfaction of the respondents are reduced due to the specifics of diseases, to talk about the effectiveness of psychocorrective work.
