Il saggio descrive il processo di modernizzazione che interessò il sistema infrastrutturale milanese-lombardo alla fine della prima guerra mondiale, alla quale erano seguite puntuali analisi geografico-industriali e socio-culturali che avevano evidenziato i limiti e la fragilità della rete stradale esistente. Tappa fondamentale fu la realizzazione della prima autostrada d’Italia (Autostrada dei Laghi) progettata dall’ing. Piero Puricelli, imprenditore stradale e progettista, insieme all’ing. Alfredo Rosselli, dell’Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Dopo aver analizzato il quadro storiografico di riferimento e le differenti istanze di modernità collegate al progetto, nel saggio viene indagata la realizzazione di tre ponti in cemento armato progettati dagli ingegneri Arturo Danusso, Renato Turchetti e Mario Baroni, quali momenti salienti dell’epopea autostradale europea. Un momento che non fu esclusivamente l’espressione di una sola azienda, ma rappresentò l’esperienza collettiva alla quale parteciparono economisti, progettisti, disegnatori, strutturisti, impiantisti, tecnologhi, imprenditori e maestranze di cantiere desiderosi di costruire un mondo moderno. ; Italy renews itself: the first national highway and the construction of some of its reinforced concrete bridges The essay describes the modernization process that affected the Milanese-Lombard infrastructural system at the end of the First World War, which was followed by precise geographical-industrial and socio-cultural analyzes that had highlighted the limits and fragility of the existing road network. A fundamental step was the construction of the first motorway in Italy (Autostrada dei Laghi) designed by Eng. Piero Puricelli, road contractor and designer, together with Eng. Alfredo Rosselli, of the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. After analyzing the reference historiographical framework and the different instances of modernity connected to the project, the essay investigates the construction of three reinforced concrete bridges designed by the engineers ... |
