الوصف: The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the rutting potential of Direct Coal Liquefaction Residue (DCLR) modified asphalt mixture using a numerical investigation. The viscoelastic parameters of the mix were obtained using the dynamic creep test and time-hardening power creep law. The effectiveness of the parameters was validated by the rutting test at multiple temperatures and tyre pressures. Considering that the action of temperature and loading field together, the rutting prediction models were constructed to analyse the behaviour of pavement with DCLR modified asphalt mixture as a middle layer during days/years. The pavement test results show that the DCLR modified asphalt mixture had a better resistance to rutting compared with the control asphalt mixture and the rut depth of pavement can be significantly reduced. During the full day/year, the most dangerous period that is more prone to rutting is 10:00 AM to 18:00 PM and June to September.
