The research "Inclusion of students with special educational needs in public professional schools in Kosovo" aims to identify the level of support for the inclusion of students with special educational needs in public professional schools in Kosovo. Research has a mixed approach: quantitative and qualitative, it is descriptive and comparative. The research population is public professional schools in Kosovo, while the research sample is 16 schools (23.5% of the population) in different municipalities, from all regions of Kosovo, which have included students with special educational needs. Respondents to the research are: officials of municipal directorates of education, school principals and professional servants, teachers and students with special educational needs. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, with questionnaires prepared and adapted for each group of respondents, in order to identify the situation regarding to the support provided to students with special educational needs at this level of education as accurately as possible. The research instruments were conducted in the terrain during the period of March 2020 and March-May 2021. The data were analyzed through statistical and qualitative methods. The results of the research were interpreted and analyzed, drawing concrete conclusions and recommendations for the relevant actors in this process. Research findings show that the number of students with special needs in education enrolled in public professional schools in Kosovo is not on the growth trend, compared to 3-4 years ago, on the contrary, there is a decrease in the number of students involved - compared to the number of students who complete lower secondary education. Also, no preliminary assessment is made of the opportunities and abilities of students for professional guidance in the most appropriate profiles and, with the exception of 2-3 municipalities, support is completely lacking, or is at the lowest level.
