الوصف: The aim of the article is to analyse the specifics of genre mutation and particular manifestations of the artistic and aesthetic system transformation of documentary filmmaking on the example of mockumentary, which will help to clarify the place of this genre form in audiovisual culture. Research results . The context of the docufiction formation in the early twentieth century is considered. The specifics of mockumentary in the projection of the development of “mixed forms” documentary during the last century are investigated, in particular, using specific examples. It is proved that “mixed-form” documentaries and mockumentaries are important agents in shaping the cultural and audiovisual landscapes of the twentieth century. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the article is the first to consider mockumentaries as a genre of “mixed-form” documentary and the result of audiovisual hybridization. Conclusions . The establishment of cinema was accompanied by specific diffusions, such as stylisation as an information chronicle. Based on the artistic practice of fiction directors in the 20-the 50s of the twentieth century, “mixed-form” documentaries emerged as a genre of cinematic creativity that combines elements of documentary cinema with fiction or experimental means and is characterised by the use of various editing techniques, including the combination of archival materials with performative elements, animation and acting. In the second half of the twentieth century, under the influence of postmodern philosophy and aesthetics, mockumentaries became especially widespread and popular, due to the desire of documentary filmmakers to experiment with genre forms and film structure, and attempts to influence the viewer more through emotional involvement and the actualisation of socially important issues. ; http://issues-culture-knukim.pp.ua/article/view/303033
