Em-bolization was then carried out with small particles of poly-vinyl alcohol (150–250 mm; Ingenor) injected selectively patchy smooth muscle. Elastic was variably absent or present in diffuse strands or multiple layers. Only a few vessels contained polyvinyl alcohol particles from the pre-vious embolizations.
