This investigation is framed within a major project that aims to learn and develop networking to promote resilience in children at risk of exclusion. The issue of resiliencecurrently finds an important echo in the socio-educational world, and we value the need to address its knowledge and meaning to improve its understanding and use as a facilitating tool for socio-educational professional practice. Moreover, the main aim of the article is to analyze the resilient process of a young man of gipsy ethnicity from a neighborhood in social exclusion, delving into the elements that may have strengthened the resilient process, and makingproposals for educational practice. The research has an exploratory and qualitative design, carried out in the environment of the subject analyzed. The data have been obtained throughinterviews with the subject himself, with people and professionals from his environment. The results that are offered us have to do with the understanding of resilience as a process in which different personal, family, and social factors converge and are related, where it is necessary to attend to the needs of the subjects from different levels and educationalagents, providing the task with a global, holist vision. We will also highlight the importance of training professionals to provide their interventions with styles that promote and facilitate the emergence of resilience: empathy, closeness, setting sensible objectives, etc. ; Se enmarca este estudio dentro de un proyecto más amplio que tiene comofin conocer y desarrollar el trabajo en red como forma de promoción de la resiliencia en la infancia en riesgo de exclusión. La cuestión de la resiliencia encuentra en la actualidad un eco importante en el mundo socioeducativo, y valoramos la necesidad de afrontar su conocimientoy significado para mejorar su comprensión y utilización como herramienta facilitadora de la práctica profesional socioeducativa.
