Presentación del Informe Regional de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) sobre los Derechos Humanos de las Personas Privadas de Libertad en las Américas, realizada el 15 de marzo de 2013 en Washington, D.C., en la que, al mismo tiempo, se exhiben los puntos fundamentales del discurso actual de la CIDH relativo a las personas privadas de libertad, con énfasis en el contenido y los alcances del artículo 5.6 de la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos. Asimismo, se presentan otros puntos relevantes como el deber del Estado de adoptar políticas públicas integrales orientadas a la gestión penitenciaria, y los principios de transparencia y monitoreo en la gestión penitenciaria. ; Presentation of the Regional Report of the Inter–American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) on the Human Rights of the Persons Deprived of Liberty in the Americas exposed on March 15, 2013 in Washington, DC. It exhibits key points of the current discourse of the IACHR on the detainees, with emphasis on the content and scope of Article 5.6 of the American Convention on Human Rights. There are also other relevant points such as the duty of the State to adopt comprehensive public policies aimed at prison management and the principles of transparency and monitoring of prison management. |
