الوصف: | Ce numéro est constitué d'articles issus du colloque CIAg "Une approche agro-écologique de la production végétale en Guyane", organisé le 23 octobre 2017 à Macouria en Guyane. ; National audience ; Many insect pests cause damages to market gardening crop in the West Indies and in French Guiana. Among them, the melonworm moth (Diaphania hyalinata), the melon aphid (Aphis gossypii) and the silverleaf whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) are some of the most important pests for Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae, because they consume these crops and transmit viruses.Pesticides are commonly used to control these three pests. This leads to environmental problems or pest resistances, for example, and now agricultural community has to find a new way to control these pests. FREDON Martinique have been working for several years on the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in order to find solutions against those insects. These strategies are based on:- Prophylaxis,- Use of agricultural techniques limiting the pests population,- Good knowledge and observation of the pests,- Biological control (inondative and conservative),- Use of biocontrol techniques and alternatives techniques for pesticides. The IPM strategies used in Martinique are presented in this article: they were created with techniques easy to implement by farmer, adapted locally and that favors beneficial insects. The agricultural system and the characteristics of the farm must be taken into consideration during the implementation of an IPM strategy, to allow a good organization of the various pest control techniques. Strategies are fitted specifically for each farm and for each pest, allowing an implementation adapted to the needs of the farmer and his capacity to use these techniques.Studies lead on IPM in Martinique could be used in French Guiana, with some adjustments to take account of the local agricultural context and to take advantage of the biodiversity of this territory. ; Les cultures maraîchères des Antilles et de la Guyane sont la cible de ... |
