Tot aquest procés va ser promogut per associacions cíviques i polítiques, entre les que destaca la Unió Catalanista (1891-1904). [eng]In Catalonia, during the Modernisme, the iconography of St. George took a significant turn and the dragon as a symbol of evil became an image of the dominant state. Instead of appearing in churches, it appears, especially, 'hidden' in the everyday arts, the decorative and applied arts. Civic and political associations promoted the process, with the most significant of all being the Unió Catalanista (1891-1904). |
