The World Alliance for Patient Safety is an initiative of the World Health Organization, launched in October 2004 with the purpose to focus on the health care safety. Patients for Patient Safety is one of its principal programs, that try to create a world-wide net of organized patients, directed by themselves, since the health care consumers have an important function in the self-care risk management and in the creation of safer health care systems, through the teamwork with the healthcare professionals. The establishment of Mexican Network of Patients for Patient Safety is located in this project, with the participation of a number of public and private organizations. ; La Alianza Mundial para la Seguridad del Paciente es una iniciativa de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, lanzada en octubre de 2004, con el propósito de enfocar la atención sobre la seguridad durante la atención médica. Uno de sus programas prioritarios es llamado Pacientes por su propia seguridad, que busca crear una red mundial de pacientes organizados, dirigida por ellos mismos, pues los usuarios de los servicios de atención de salud tienen una función importante, tanto en la gestión de los riesgos de su propia atención, como en la creación de sistemas de salud más seguros, mediante el trabajo conjunto con los proveedores de atención de salud. En este proyecto se inscribe el establecimiento de la Red Mexicana de Pacientes por la Seguridad del Paciente, en la cual participan diversas organizaciones públicas y privadas. |
