| الوصف: | Many university libraries and in particular medical libraries have built up a considerable collection of electronic books. These E-Books are already highly accepted by patrons despite unsolved questions on technical standards and license models which have to be tackled by publishers and libraries. A short introduction on advandages and disadvantages of E-Books is followed by a presentation of E-Book collections and E-Book catalogues found on the websites of medical libraries in Berlin, Mainz, Münster and Zürich. A more detailed report is given on the E-Book situation at the library of the Medical University Vienna including problems with usage data. Results of a recent library online survey are discussed in regard to E-Books. So far the experience with E-Books at the library of the Medical University Vienna and the positive feedback by patrons suggests that E-Books came to stay in medical libraries. ; Viele wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken, insbesondere Medizinbibliotheken, haben mittlerweile umfangreiche Sammlungen an elektronischen Büchern aufgebaut. E-Books haben bereits eine hohe Akzeptanz bei den Nutzern erreicht, trotz offener Fragen über technische Standards und Lizenzierungsmodelle, welche von Verlagen und Bibliotheken noch zu lösen sind.Nach einer kurzen Einführung zu Vor-und Nachteilen der E-Books folgt eine Übersicht von Angebot und Nachweis der elektronischen Bücher an den Medizinbibliotheken in Berlin, Mainz, Münster und Zürich. Daran schließt eine detaillierte Darstellung der E-Book-Situation der Universitätsbibliothek der Medizinischen Universität Wien an. Weiters werden auch die Problematik der Nutzungsstatistiken thematisiert und Ergebnisse einer kürzlich an der Bibliothek durchgeführten BenutzerInnenbefragung präsentiert, soweit sie die E-Books betreffen.
