| الوصف: | The article presents reflections on the need for the Professional master’s degree in history teaching (ProfHistória) to review the importance given to subjects related to Indigenous, Afro-Brazilian and African Histories and Cultures, based on what is recommended by Law No. 11,645/2008 and others. Based on experiments carried out at ProfHistória at the Federal University of Amapá (Unifap), the relevance of the subjects Teaching Indigenous History and History as a difference can be seen, even though they are currently optional. The latter, especially, allows knowledge, recognition, appreciation, respect, and promotion of respect for Brazil’s historical ethnic-cultural diversity. Thus, observing past horizons in relation to the teaching of indigenous History, future perspectives are projected based on the rich production of the professional master’s degree. The qualitative bibliographic research covered the production of ProfHistória – Unifap, since its implementation in Amapá, in 2016, analyzing four significant works focused on the study (and teaching-learning) of indigenous histories and cultures. ; O artigo apresenta reflexões sobre a necessidade de o Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de História (ProfHistória) rever a importância conferida a disciplinas relacionadas às Histórias e Culturas Indígenas, Afro-brasileiras e Africanas, desde o que preconizam a Lei n.º 11.645/2008 e outras. A partir de experiências realizadas no Núcleo ProfHistória da Universidade Federal do Amapá (Unifap), verifica-se a relevância das disciplinas Ensino (d)e História Indígena e História como diferença, ainda que sejam, atualmente, optativas. Essa última, especialmente, permite o conhecimento, o reconhecimento, a valorização, o respeito e a promoção do respeito à histórica diversidade étnico-cultural do Brasil. Assim, observando-se horizontes passados em relação ao ensino de História indígena, projetam-se perspectivas futuras a partir da rica produção do mestrado profissional.
