الوصف: Recently, more and more attention has been paid to herbs due to their active components, which are used in the treatment of various infectious diseases. In addition, synthetic drugs are avoided due to their unwanted side effects. For these reasons, more and more research is being conducted to determine the antimicrobial and other therapeutic properties of medicinal plants. Aim of the research: to evaluate students' knowledge about the healing properties and antimicrobial activity of Stinging nettle, Ground elder and Dandelion. Objects of the research: 1. To describe the submitted information in scientific literature about stinging nettle, ground elder and dandelion significance, active substances and antimicrobial activity. 2. To prepare an analysis of the research presented in the scientific literature of the antimicrobial activity of Stinging nettle, Ground elder and Dandelion. 3. To reveal students' knowledge about the healing properties and antimicrobial activity of Stinging nettle, Ground elder and Dandelion. Methods. During the empirical research, a questionnaire survey method was performed, helping the respondents to find out about the healing properties and antimicrobial activity of the studied plants. 222 students of Biomedical Diagnostics, Dietetics, Occupational therapy, Pharmacotechnics, Physiotherapy and Radiology of Kaunas College, Faculty of Medicine participated in the research. Results and conclusions. 1. The phenols contained in Stinging nettle, Ground elder and Dandelion determine the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, analgesic and antioxidant properties of these plants. 2. Stinging nettle has the strongest antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, the most sensitive bacteria of Ground elder – Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Dandelion has the strongest effect on Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. 3.
