| الوصف: | In May 1535 Carlos V reviewed the troops he had gathered to go against Barbarossa, who had become the admiral of the Turkish navy, which had settled in Tunis. For the expedition the emperor was accompanied by chroniclers and the painter Jan Cornelisz Vermeyen, with the intention of recording the feat. But he was also concerned about the image projected by his hosts, whom he wanted to present magnificently dressed in the review of the troops that was made in Barcelona, and the supply of tents. And the thing is that one not only goes to war with weapons. ; En mayo de 1535 Carlos V pasó revista a las tropas que había reunido para ir contra Barbarroja, convertido en almirante de la armada turca, que se había instalado en Túnez. Para la expedición el emperador se hizo acompañar de cronistas y del pintor Jan Cornelisz Vermeyen, con la intención de dejar constancia de la gesta. Mas también le preocupó la imagen que proyectaban sus huestes, a las que quiso presentar magníficamente vestidas en la revista de las tropas que se hizo en Barcelona, y la provisión de tiendas de campaña.
