This paper introduces a revised workflow for the publication of textual research data within the TextGrid Repository, designed to enhance the accessibility and reusability of research outputs in the humanities. The new workflow aims to simplify the process for researchers by integrating user-friendly tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, reducing the technical burden of metadata management and data publication. Researchers can now publish their data using familiar technologies such as TEI, xPath, and GitHub repositories, while benefiting from enhanced metadata quality controls and streamlined processes. The workflow also supports the enrichment of metadata without requiring modifications to original data files, ensuring compliance with the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). By showcasing completed research projects, we demonstrate the potential for improved discoverability and citation of research outputs through the new system. The paper concludes with a discussion of future developments aimed at fully automating the publication process, minimising the need for manual intervention, and expanding the applicability of the workflow across disciplines. |
